10-Day Classic Uganda Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda!

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Vivid Adventure Safaris Ltd will meet you for a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Depart after breakfast for Kibale National Park, a tropical rainforest known for its rich primate diversity, including black-and-white colobus monkeys. The scenic drive passes through tea plantations and crater lakes before arriving at your lodge, set against a backdrop of rolling hills.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Begin the day with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, which harbors 13 primate species, including the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. After lunch, take a guided Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk, where you can spot over 200 bird species, butterflies, and smaller primates. Later, a resident primatologist will join you for an informative talk.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most biodiverse parks, home to over 600 bird species and large mammals such as elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains, where you may encounter lions, leopards, and elephants. After lunch, take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense hippo population, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 6: Ishasha Plains – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park via the southern Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Stop to observe these unique predators and enjoy a scenic drive through rolling hills and lush landscapes before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Trek through dense rainforest, tracking a habituated gorilla family. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants up close. Time permitting, take an optional village walk or visit waterfalls within the forest.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park. After lunch at your lodge, go for an afternoon game drive, where you can spot zebras, elands, Cape buffaloes, and impalas. The park is also an excellent bird-watching destination, with over 250 recorded species.

Day 9: Nature Walk & Transfer to Entebbe

Start the morning with a guided nature walk, offering up-close encounters with wildlife. Later, depart for Entebbe, stopping at the Uganda Equator for photos and a quick cultural experience before continuing to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure – Flight Home

Depending on your flight schedule, you may choose an optional visit to the Botanical Gardens before transferring to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
