Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda!
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will meet you for a warm welcome and seamless transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing evening as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Depart for Kibale National Park, passing through Kasese and Fort Portal, a region known for its stunning tea plantations and the legendary “Mountains of the Moon.” The drive offers picturesque views of small villages and local markets before arriving at the lodge in the evening.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Start the day with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,450 chimpanzees and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Swamp, a renowned birding paradise and a great place to spot butterflies and smaller primates.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through terraced hills and lush green landscapes. Upon arrival, an evening game drive offers a chance to spot elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife.

Day 5: Game Drive & Private Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel
Embark on an early morning game drive, keeping an eye out for lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, take a private boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a haven for hippos, crocodiles, and over 550 bird species.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy breakfast before setting off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing through scenic rolling hills and lush vegetation. Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its ancient rainforest and incredible gorilla trekking opportunities.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early morning briefing, set off into the dense forest of Bwindi to track one of the habituated gorilla families. Spend an awe-inspiring hour watching these gentle giants in their natural habitat, a truly humbling experience. If time allows, take an optional nature walk in the afternoon.

Day 8: Cross into Rwanda – Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
Depart Bwindi early and cross into Rwanda, heading to Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, where you’ll interact with reformed poachers and local communities who now support conservation efforts. Experience traditional Rwandan music, dance, and storytelling.

Day 9: Dian Fossey Tomb Trek – Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Embark on a hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb, where you’ll learn about the incredible legacy of gorilla conservation left behind by the renowned primatologist. After the hike, travel to Nyungwe National Park, home to one of Africa’s oldest rainforests.

Day 10: Cross into Congo – Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park
After breakfast, cross into the Democratic Republic of Congo and transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park, a lesser-known but spectacular gorilla trekking destination. Trek to find the eastern lowland gorillas, a subspecies different from those in Bwindi and Volcanoes National Park.

Day 11: Transfer to Burundi – Arrival in Bujumbura
Depart Congo and travel to Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, arriving in the evening for a well-deserved rest.

Spend the day exploring Burundi’s cultural heritage, starting with a visit to Gitega, the country’s second-largest city. Experience the mesmerizing Burundian royal drum performances and learn about the country’s ancient traditions and shrines.

Day 13: Departure – Flight from Burundi International Airport
