3 Days in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Visit Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda for game viewing, elephants, buffaloes, water-buck, leopards & more


Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kampala- Masaka road (7hrs). Stop-over at the equator for a photo shoot, community visit and continue to Mbarara town for lunch. We shall then check in at Mweya safari lodge/ Mweya hostel as well as take a rest for the afternoon. Later in the evening, we shall go for an evening game drive in Katwe town to check out the saline lake and other several crater lakes. You may see buffaloes and warthogs on the road as well.

*Retire to Mweya lodge/ Simba Safari Camp for overnight stay.



Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Trip
On day 2, we shall go for an early morning game drive to Kasenyi plains along the Kazinga channel. The impressive Kazinga Channel, a 40 kilometer water long natural channel that links Lake Edward plus Lake George. Normally the boat sets off every day at either 09.00 am local time or at 2:00pm in the afternoon – local time. This launch cruise may take anything from 2 – 5 hours to well explore the water and the wildlife along the shores of the Kazinga Channel. Be sure to view and take photos of the hippos, crocodiles, water birds like shoebill, marabous stock, papyrus Gonolek, pelicans, and white- bellied cormorants among others.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking at the kyambura gorge
The Kyambura Gorge is a section of Queen Elizabeth National Park whose landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda. The kyambura gorge is also swarmed by a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises of primates, wild animals as well as birds. On day 3 of your tour, we shall go early morning to Kyambura gorge to check out chimpanzees and other primates like the black and white colobus, olive baboons, red tailed monkeys and potto, L’Hoest monkey. We shall later have lunch and head back to Kampala.
