Trekkers must be at least 12 years of age and are required to bring full rain and cold weather gear (moisture-wicking base layer, sweater, jacket, warm socks, hat & a 0°C/32° – rated sleeping bag.


Day 1: Transfer DR Congo
You will have breakfast and transfer to Gisenyi, cross over the border to DR Congo to Goma town. If you are not tired you can take brief tour around as you interact with the local people. overnight hotel Ihusi/ La Joie plaza/ Mikeno lodge/ Bukima Tented camp

Day 2: Nyiragongo hike
After an early morning breakfast, you head to Kibatsi village where you start the hike of the volcano. You will reach the top in the afternoon and have dinner and overnight at the top. Overnight at the rim of the volcano

Day 3: Descend the volcano and transfer your hotel/Lodge
In the morning, you will descend the volcano reaching down early for a transfer back to Gisenyi in Rwanda and directly head to your lodge for resting. overnight hotel Ihusi/ La Joie plaza/ Mikeno lodge/ Bukima Tented camp

Day 4: Gorilla tracking adventure.
Early morning, drive to Virunga NP headquarters for briefing and then enter the forest for gorilla tracking. You will return in the afternoon and drive to overnight Mikeno lodge

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will transfer across the border back to Rwanda and driven to Kigali
