Rwanda is popularly referred to as the Land of a Thousand Hills because of her endless mountains especially the stunning Virunga volcanoes in the northwest with some of the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas while Nyungwe Forest National Park protects extensive tracts of montane rainforest, and is home to many primates.
