DAY 1: City tour on arrival
Upon Arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, You will be met by a vivid adventure safaris representative who will transport you to your hotel. Early arrivals will get a chance to have a city tour to the famous Kasubi Tombs of the Kabaka kings, Uganda National museum, Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22 Christian martyrs were killed during the reign of Kabaka Mwanga in 1886 (King of Buganda).
*Dinner and overnight at Serena Kampala Hotel, Emin Pasha Hotel or Sheraton Kampala/ Cassia Lodge/Hotel Africana, Mamba Point, Shangri- La Hotel or Tourist Hotel, Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
You will leave Kampala after breakfast for the drive to Kibale forest National Park through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta under the Rwenzori Mountains. You will have a guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Rwenzori View Guest House/ Primate Lodge/Chimpanzee guest house/Kibale forest camp
Day 3 :Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest and transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park
After breakfast, you will set out for chimpanzee tracking with in the thick Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the Lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute.
*Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana safari Lodge.
Day 4 : Game Drives
On day 4, we’ll have an early morning game drive in the Northern crater area where there is a lot of dark holes called the black craters with no water. You may be able to see a lot of animal species such as the Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus, vervet, patus, red-tailed and the blue monkeys. Other animals that can be seen are the bush pigs and the warthogs, antelopes.
The game drive in queen Elizabeth National park takes 3-4 hours after which we return for lunch at mweya safari lodge or Jacana lodge (your choice). Later in the afternoon, we shall go for evening game drive in the Kasenyi area which is well known as the Kob mating grounds and also host to a lot of antelopes and the hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This evening game drive in queen Elizabeth National park will take you about 2 to 3 hours.
*Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana/Hippo Hill camp/Simba safari camp
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national Park
After breakfast on day 5, we’ll depart for Bwindi impenetrable national park via the Ishasha sect of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is commonly known for its tree climbing lions. You will have a game drive here and after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park.
*Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas/Lake Kitandara Lodge
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, we’ll set off for an exciting gorilla tracking expedition. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you for about 1 hour. This gorilla tracking activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down and you have to literally play hide and seek with them, it’s simply amazing. In addition, you will meet a lot of chimpanzees and other primates such as the monkeys on your way as well as bird species.
After your gorilla expedition, we shall return for dinner and over night stay at Buhoma Homestead /Gorilla Resort camp/ Gorilla Forest Camp for Luxury or Lake Kitandara Luxury tented camp/Mantana Engangi Bwindi Lodge for mid range or Buhoma community Bandas/Bwindi View for budget
Day 7: Return trip to Kampala
After breakfast, you will return to Kampala, and then proceed to Entebbe. You will have lunch en route and make a stop over at Equator Uganda before you are dropped off to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay
